Jessica Simpson Will Search for The Price of Beauty
![]() [Photo: Newscom] |
Jessica Simpson is beautiful, but that’s not what this is about. It’s actually the announcement of a new upcoming VH1 reality series. The new show that will begin filming in July 2009 is called The Price of Beauty.
In it, Jessica will travel the world, looking at what constitutes beauty in various cultures. She’ll try to find out what women go through in various parts of the world to attain what their culture thinks of as beauty. I think this sounds like a very cool show!
Here’s a bit of what Jessica Simpson has to say about the new show:
“When Chris approached me with his idea for a show about true beauty, I was immediately intrigued,” Jessica stated. “I have always believed that beauty comes from within and confidence will always make a woman beautiful, but I know how much pressure some women put on themselves to look perfect. I am really looking forward to discovering how beauty is perceived in different cultures and participating in some of the crazy things people do to feel beautiful. I know we will all learn a lot on this journey and I am so excited that VH1 is coming along on what I’m sure will be a wild ride.”
I’ll keep reporting on the show’s progress and let you know when it will begin to air. I’m looking forward to it.
Celebrity Rehab: Who are the New Patients?

Well, someone at VH1 agreed with me. He’s part of the cast of patients for season three of the series.
I think that’s terrific since he seems like a good guy, but needs to get the substances under control.
The rest of the cast looks pretty interesting too. I’m hoping that they are all successful in their journey toward a sober life.
Also among the patients will be Tom Sizemore. He had his own VH1 series called Shooting Sizemore a couple of years ago that chronicled his attempts at sobriety. I truly hope he is successful this time.
Here’s the complete list if Celeb Rehab patients at Pasadena Recovery Center:
- Mackenzie Phillips (One Day At A Time)
- Heidi Fleiss
- Dennis Rodman
- Mindy McCready (country music singer)
- Lisa D’Amato (America’s Next Top Model)
- Mike Starr (Alice in Chains)
- Kari Ann Peniche (ex-Miss United States Teen)
- Joey Kovar (Real World Hollywood)
- Tom Sizemore (Shooting Sizemore)
Season three of Celebrity Rehab is scheduled to premiere in early 2010.
Rock of Love Bus: Bonus Scenes From the Finale
April 14, 2009 by Lynn

On the season finale of Rock of Love Bus, Bret Michaels chose Taya as his Rock of Love. But there was a lot that didn’t air in the episode, since not all the interesting scenes would fit into one hour. Here are some extra scenes for you to enjoy.
In this first clip, you can find out more about why Bret made his decision the way he did, and find out what Mindy had to say about it:
And here’s a look back at all the girls that went on the road with Bret in an attempt to win his heart. This is a compilation of the eliminations:

Celebrity Rehab Will Return With a Third Season
April 2, 2009 by Lynn

I’m happy to let you know that Celebrity Rehab has been renewed for its third season. Dr. Drew Pinsky will be back with another group of celebrities in need of his help in their quest for a sober life. If you’ve been reading this blog for some time, you know that I think this is one of the best shows on VH1. It gives us the plain and simple truth about how difficult it is for these folks to get free of the addictions that have taken over their lives.
There have been no announcements about who will be in rehab in the third season, or even when it will premiere, but I wanted to give you the good news anyway. I’ll let you in on the updates as they become available.
Rock of Love Bus: Episode 8 Bonus Scenes
March 14, 2009 by Lynn

In the most recent episode of Rock of Love Bus, Farrah gets upset with what she hears being discussed between two of the other girls who are taking a shower together. Here’s a lot more that didn’t make it to the air:
In this extra scene, there’s a bonfire on the beach and Bret makes out with two girls at once, while they also make out with each other. You’ll have to watch to find out who…

Sober House: Finale Recap
March 13, 2009 by Lynn
On last night’s season finale of Sober House, the residents prepared to leave the house and begin sober life on their own. It was truly a roller-coaster ride of an episode.
Dr. Drew brought in Steven Adler’s wife, mentor and bail bondsman to do an intervention of sorts. Steven acted out, but finally agreed to go back to Las Encinas Treatment Center because his drug test showed that he had been smoking pot in the Sober House. He really has a hard road ahead of him. I wish him well.
Dr. Drew also surprised Rodney King by having his house cleaned, renovated and made ready to become a Sober House, which was Rodney’s goal. I have the highest hopes for Rodney of all the people this season. He really seems to have gotten himself together. I’m happy for him.
Amber Smith got her own apartment, separate from her mother for the first time. She’s scared, but plans to work hard to stay sober and take responsibility for her life.
Shifty, aka Seth Binzer performed live for the first time and with the help of Will, his sober coach, plans to make it to the top of the charts again.
Andy Dick seems unready to go back to regular life, but he seems like this time he might actually make it. And to see the pain in his son’s eyes when he sat with Andy and Dr. Drew was hard to watch. I wish them both the best.
It didn’t show it, but I hope that Nikki does well when she goes back home to her family in Texas. She has been through a lot of emotional things since going to rehab and it might be really difficult.
And we also didn’t see how Mary plans to stay sober either, but my biggest wish for her is to dump the bum David that she was dating.
I liked this season of Sober House and hope that it’s not the last. This type of show is hopefully inspirational for people going through the same struggles and educational for anyone who may ever even consider using drugs. If it helps even one person avoid the trap, it’s definitely worth it. My sincere wishes for a happy life to each of these people. They have a long, hard road ahead, but I hope they succeed in their fight to stay sober.
What did you think of this series? Was it meaningful to you? Would you want another season of Celebrity Rehab or Sober House?
Sober House: Sneak Peek at Tonight’s Finale
On tonight’s season finale of Sober House, the celebs get ready to leave the house and go back to their lives. They have to have a solid plan in place to stay sober and to take care of themselves once they are back on their own again.
Steven Adler seems to have once again fallen off the wagon. Could it be that he’s using again? Dr. Drew makes him sit down with his wife, the bail bondsman and his mentor to talk things through. Here’s how it goes:
I Love Money 2: Episode 4 Sneak Peek
February 22, 2009 by Lynn
Tomorrow’s new episode of I Love Money 2 looks like a crazy one! In this preview clip, the money-lovers are told that the challenge will be a real mouthful. Buckwild says that she has a big mouth so she could be useful. The yellow team makes Frank, aka The Entertainer their team captain because he wants nothing more than to get rid of Buddha. The green team chooses Bonez for their captain. Everyone is strategizing and Buddha gets paired up with Milf…just the person he least wants to be with:
I Love Money 2: Episode 3 Bonus Scenes
February 22, 2009 by Lynn
In episode three of I Love Money 2, Leilene decided to leave the house for good. She packed up her bags and left…only to return a little while later. No one seemed that upset when she left and Becky Buckwild seemed extremely unhappy that she came back. But the funny thing is that Leilene said she came back for Saaphyri & Buckwild. Interesting…
Here’s a clip that we didn’t see. It seems that there in Mexico, half of the house guests have diarrhea…and The Entertainer gets called out about something in the bathroom. Watch at your own risk!
