The Rock Life: The Story of a Rock Band

This series is about the group Whitestarr and their crazy, mismatched group of band members. They go through many difficulties on their way to fame, including the death of the lead singer, Cisco Adler’s dog, his fight with his girlfriend, Mischa Barton and their complete mess of a performance for their new manager.
These guys are like so many of the rock bands from the 80s. They have the talent, they have the music, they just can’t get a break. It’s like getting an inside view to a band’s personal and professional struggles. Here’s a clip of the premiere:

According to an article in Reality TV Magazine, there will be a new relity show based ona rock band called The Rock of Life. Here’s a bit from the article:
Malibu rock band Whitestarr, led by singer/songwriter/producer Cisco Adler, is set to star in their own VH1 reality series, “The Rock Life,” to debut August 6th, which will give viewers an all-access look into the trials and tribulations of a rock band’s struggle to hit it big.
“I see this show as our weekly music video block on VH1 with a little love and war mixed in,” says Adler. “People may be familiar with me or the band for other reasons besides our music, and the show will give them a chance to hear what we really do.” In addition to fronting Whitestarr, Adler is also an accomplished music producer. Adler’s producing credits include work on Mickey Avalon’s 2007 critically-acclaimed self titled debut and forthcoming tracks with Will.I.Am, Lil Jon and Interscope/Suretone breaking artist Shwayze.
“The Rock Life” will follow the band as they balance gigs, groupies, girlfriends and of course parties fit for rock stars. Cameras join Whitestarr as they face all of the highs and lows that accompany being a part of an up-and-coming rock band dealing with the creative and personal challenges of recording and releasing an album. The show is executive produced by George Verschoor (Jamie Kennedy’s “Blowin Up, “Nashville Star”) and David Osper (MTV’s Homewrecker”) and by Verschoor’s Hoosick Falls Productions.
