Tom Sizemore, the subject and star of the VH1 series, Shooting Sizemore, has had his share of problems with durgs over the year. He’s been in rehab, he’s tried before to kick the addictions, but in May he was once again arrested for drug possession. Here’s the latest news about him:

Tom Sizemore says he’s done with drugs.

“I’m not trading my whole life for some powder,” the 45-year-old actor told the Bakersfield Californian in a jailhouse interview published Friday.

“God’s trying to tell me he doesn’t want me using drugs because every time I use them I get caught,” Sizemore said.

Sizemore is serving time in Kern County for violating probation in a drug case. He was arrested in a Bakersfield hotel in May for methamphetamine found in his car. He will be released next month.

The actor was charged with seven drug-related counts but pleaded no contest to a charge of transporting drugs for personal use. He was sentenced last Wednesday to treatment in a drug therapy program.

Sizemore said he understands the punishment could have been worse.

“I got another chance,” he said. “Some people might think I don’t deserve one, but I’m glad the judge thought so and I mean to make the most of it.”

This is definitely not the kind of celebrity coverage Tom Sizemore was hoping for. After we watched him struggle back from his drug addiction problems on Shooting Sizemore I was hoping he would be successful and stay away from the drugs. But it appears that he hasn’t.

Recently, I posted about actor Tom Sizemore’s arrest for drug possession. Since he is still on probation, the former star of Shooting Sizemore may have to return to prison.

According to a release from the Associated Press:

A police report alleged that the actor told investigators he had used methamphetamine the night before his arrest. It said he told police he had not used the drug since last May and called it a “disease.”

A hearing is scheduled June 5.

Sadly, Tom Sizemore appears to be still losing the battle against his drug addiction. The star of the VH1 series, Shooting Sizemore, was arrested for the possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia this week. According to the AP report:

The 45-year-old actor, of Calabasas, was arrested after drugs were found in his car outside the Four Points Sheraton hotel, said police Detective Greg Terry.

“He displayed symptoms of being under the influence,” Terry said.

A search of the car turned up two bags of suspected methamphetamine and “some additional narcotics smoking pipes,” Terry said.

Sizemore was arrested and booked at the Kern County Jail for investigation of possession of methamphetamine, being under the influence of a controlled substance and possession of narcotic paraphernalia, the detective said.

After watching the full season of Shooting Sizemore, I was very hopeful that he would continue his sobriety and really manage to overcome the addiction. This is just one more example of just how hard it must be to kick the meth habit.

Anyone that reads this that ever even considered trying methamphetamine should heed this as a warning of how deadly it can be. It will ruin your life, if you let it.
