Miss Rap Supreme Finale Preview Videos

Monday night is the finale for Miss Rap Supreme, and tensions are high. Chiba is gone, this week, so much of the drama will be missing from the finale. Byata promises some good one-woman drama, of course, but what will happen?
Watch these clips, and see who you think will win Miss Rap Supreme.
Who do you think will win?
Miss Rap Supreme Recap: Episode 7

We’re down to the final four: Miss Cherry, Rece, Byata, and Chiba, and the tensions are high.
After toasting to last episode’s parted, Nicky2States, Rece shares her mother’s heart warming comment that she will break under the pressure. Then, Byata gets a bit emotional and calls her father. She shares that he’s a former addict.
While the other three are relaxing, it’s time for Chiba to complain about the others’ attitudes about her. [Poor Chiba. She's so misunderstood.]

They’re down to the Top 5, and Nicky, Rece, and Byatacelebrate hard with the free champagne and vodka. Rece, though, keeps going long after Nicky and Byata stopped. So, Rece ended up re-bagging her groceries –so to speak. Luckily, Nicky2States, was there, with her maternal know-how, and some nursing school behind her. So, Nicky took up the task of cleaning up the vomit.

Byata and Chiba have words over cleaning up the messy kitchen. Chiba wants her to help, but Byata complains of being on her period. Byata was harsh, calling Chiba the Devil, in her interview.

Miss Rap Supreme Sneak Peek: Episode 7
Chiba, Rece, Byata, and Cheri are going strong. There is a ton of footage here.
- Rehash of Nicky2States leaving.
- Loads of drama. Someone get me a moist towelette or something. Please.
- Rece and Byata giving Chiba some flak for just walking through the room. What is up!?!
- The women go to the L.A. Gun Club.
- Cheri couldn’t participate at the Gun Club, due to her being out on bond. That’s too bad. What a choice for a challenge. I’m a little disappointed that they chose a challenge that excludes one of the contestants.
- Chiba congratulates Byata, but the tone of her voice sets off a fight.
So, check out the video, and see the preview of episode 7’s catfights, gunslinging, and fun.

ego trip’s Miss Rap Supreme: Lady Twist Can’t Sweep the Flo
This week, the ladies were asked to do a rap from Shakespeare’s Hamlet. They had to make it more from the hood. I loved how some of them really owned the performance and I think my favorite was that of Lady Twist.
Then, the women were told to choreograph a hip-hop routine and rap to perform. Unfortunately, Twist, being the biggest girl in the house had the most trouble doing the dance portion of her performance. And even though she showed the most maturity in the house when dealing with the conflicts, her rap about it wasn’t that spot-on. Sadly, Lady Twist was told to Step Off.
But here are some great comments that Yo Yo and MC Serch had about why they liked this episode the most so far:
Here’s also an extended interview with Twist where she tells her feelings about leaving the show. I love her spunk and the spontaneous things she says. She’ll be missed on the show.

ego trip’s Miss Rap Supreme: Lionezz Steps Off…Again
May 4, 2008 by Lynn
After Kya was kicked out for spitting lyrics that weren’t original, they brought Lionezz back into the competition. The others were happy to see her back, since they didn’t see her as a real threat. And even though she tried her best, this week, she was told to step off again.

Serch & Yo Yo sat down with her to talk more about her feelings about her elimination from the show and he gives some of his own insights too. Here’s that clip:
And here’s an intersting clip where the guys from Ego Trip explain to us what they wanted to accomplish with this week’s “He Said, She Said” challenge. The previous weeks’ problems were the inspiration for the challenge and I have to say, it was “different.” Check it out:

ego trip’s Miss Rap Supreme: Interview With Ego Trip
April 27, 2008 by Lynn
This week, Jesse Thorn of The Sound of Young America talked to Brent Rollins and Gabriel Alvarez of Ego Trip about their career as a collective and how they ended up making VH1 shows. I’ve included the audio for the interview where they talk about the fact that they produce coffee table and bathroom books, along with their magazine, Ego Trip. They say that they have done it all to work their way to their own line of hamburgers with their own blend of herbs & spices.
