Remember a few weeks ago when I told you that a great candidate for Celebrity Rehab would be Dennis Rodman?

Well, someone at VH1 agreed with me. He’s part of the cast of patients for season three of the series.

I think that’s terrific since he seems like a good guy, but needs to get the substances under control.

The rest of the cast looks pretty interesting too. I’m hoping that they are all successful in their journey toward a sober life.

Also among the patients will be Tom Sizemore. He had his own VH1 series called Shooting Sizemore a couple of years ago that chronicled his attempts at sobriety. I truly hope he is successful this time.

Here’s a photo caught by paparazzi as Celebrity Rehab & Sober House veteran Mary Carey left Mr. Chow’s restaurant recently. Behind her is Jeff Conaway’s girlfriend. We know they have become very good friends since being on the shows.

Mary’s looking very good these days. It looks like she’s staying sober, doesn’t it?

If you have been watching Celebrity Apprentice, you know that a couple of weeks ago, Dennis Rodman was fired and the board room was turned into more of an intervention than a regular board room meeting. The thing that everyone seemed to agree upon was that Dennis Rodman has a problem with alcohol.

Seeing how VH1 has announced that it’s making a third season of Celebrity Rehab, I’d like to suggest Dennis Rodman as a perfect candidate for the show. He’s absolutley an interesting man so he would keep our attention, but he seems to genuinely need the help. Dr. Drew, I hope you’re listening…

I’m happy to let you know that Celebrity Rehab has been renewed for its third season. Dr. Drew Pinsky will be back with another group of celebrities in need of his help in their quest for a sober life. If you’ve been reading this blog for some time, you know that I think this is one of the best shows on VH1. It gives us the plain and simple truth about how difficult it is for these folks to get free of the addictions that have taken over their lives.

There have been no announcements about who will be in rehab in the third season, or even when it will premiere, but I wanted to give you the good news anyway. I’ll let you in on the updates as they become available.

We just saw the end of the season of Sober House where all of the residents left to pursue their own lives and to try to remain sober. One of the more interesting residents was, of course, Andy Dick. Apparently, after he left the house, he ended up doing something that caused him to be put on house arrest. So being the entertainer that he is, he created a talk show in his own house and it’s called House Arrest.

In this clip, we see that one of his guests this week was none other than Dr. Drew Pinsky. Dr. Drew dropped by to talk to Andy and try to convince him to take drugs…er, I mean, medication. I just think Dr. Drew is the best and he certainly always has the best interests of his patients in mind. Here’s how the conversation went:

Mary Carey was photographed recently as she met up with Phoebe Price to eat dinner at Mr. Chows in West Hollywood. She looks happy, and sober in this photo. And thank goodness she isn’t with that creep David. I’m hoping she tosses him out of her personal life for good. He’s not good for her at all.

We’ve gotten to know Brigitte Nielsen in a couple of VH1 reality shows. She was a true party girl in Surreal Life and then she got sober in Celebrity Rehab. She vowed to stay sober for her kids, her husband and for herself.

This snapshot that was taken of her and her hunky husband Mattia Dessi seems to be proof that she’s doing well. They walked along holding hands and had lunch at Le Petit Four Restaurant in the Sunset Plaza yesterday in West Hollywood. They have been married since 2006.

We know that Dr. Drew Pinsky of Celebrity Rehab & Sober House works with many celebrities in his quest to help them kick their addictions in rehab. So it should come as no surprise that he gets invited to some very influential events like this one. Heck, he may have worked with a lot of the people at this party. Who knows?

He was looking sharp on the red carpet when he attended the Elton John AIDS Foundation’s Academy Award Viewing Party held at the Pacific Design Center on February 22.

We know from watching Rodney King on both Celebrity Rehab and Sober House that he does not seek the limelight. He’s actually a rather quiet, soft spoken man. So it was cool to see him being so friendly to the paparazzi when they snapped his photo while he was leaving Caretta Cafe and Restaurant in Beverly Hills after having dinner. According to the paparazzi, he stopped to chat a bit with them and explained that he hadn’t been in Los Angeles county much for the past 10 years.

First of all, after the incident that made him famous, I can’t blame him one bit for avoiding the place. But I also admire him for his ability to forgive for the brutality he suffered. I know this will definitely make his recovery much easier. It’s good to see him looking so relaxed and happy. I wish him all the best.
