Danny Bonaduce, star of Breaking Bonaduce and I Know My Kid’s a Star brought a guest to this year’s Really Awards. Let’s just hope that he kept his distance from reality star Jonny Fairplay this year!!

Adrienne Curry: Reality Show Judge?
August 17, 2008 by Lynn
According to topmodelgossip.com Adrienne Curry has signed up to be a judge on an upcoming reality show whose winner will receive their own reality show. The tentative title of this game show is Gimme My Reality Show. She’ll be joining fellow judges veteran reality producer Scott Sternberg; and Daily Variety TV editor Michael Schneider on the show.
The show will feature such contestants as Gretchin Bonaduce from Breaking Bonaduce, Santino Rice from Project Runway, Ryan Starr from The Surreal Life & American Idol, Surreal Life winner Traci Bingham, and infamous house guest Kato Kaelin.
The contestants will be competing to see which one is more worthy of having a reality show. The winner’s reality show will feature their daily activities no matter how boring or exciting they may be. The winner will be chosen by votes from viewers, so Curry will not have the final say on who will win their own reality show. However, seeing as she has been on more than three reality shows herself, she probably has some good advice to give on how to act to get viewers watching.
It’s just unfortunate that we viewers will not have a better selection of contestants. (Kato Kaelin??) I honestly think Santino could pull off his own reality show (unless he is just going to rely on his Tim Gunn impression the whole time) but the others may not be as interesting. And where are my favorite Goth couple, Kynt & Vyxsin from The Amazing Race? I think they should get a reality show! But then, they never ask me…
Gretchin Bonaduce Has a New Reality Show
July 29, 2008 by Lynn
Remember Gretchin Bonaduce? She’s the ex-wife of reality TV bad boy Danny Bonaduce and together they were in two seasons of the VH1 series Breaking Bonaduce.
Well, just because she and Danny aren’t together any more doesn’t mean that she can’t work on a reality TV show. She now has her own. It will be on the FOX Reality channel and it’s called I Want My Own Reality Show. She won’t tell the full idea of the show, but she does tell TV Guide that her 80s tribute band will play sometimes and she has a clothing line so she and the models may be scantily clad at times.
She also talks a bit about her divorce from Danny and how they are getting along these days. It’s a good clip. Check it out:
The Most Memorable VH1 Reality TV Moments of 2007
December 30, 2007 by Lynn
We’ve come to the end of another year of VH1 reality TV and it’s been a very eventful one, to be sure. Reality TV on VH1 has endured one shock after another. I’ve been thinking about my favorite and most frustrating moments in VH1 reality TV this year and thought that this might be the best time to share them with you. After all, we are about to start another new year of crazy reality moments.
- Danny Bonaduce put that creep, Jonny Fairplay in his place and in the ER at the Reality Awards ceremony
- New York chose Tango to be her man, only to be dumped by him on the reunion show
- New York then chose Tailor Made to be her man. We don’t know what will happen on the second season’s reunion show…
- To me, it was shocking that the entire season of Rock of Love with Bret Michaels was even on TV. What a trashy program that is… (sorry, folks, just my opinion…)
- Dustin Diamond managed to clear the room with his crazy antics (several times) on Celebrity Fit Club
- Larissa hid the picture of Leilene’s deceased mother and blamed it on Schatar to get her eliminated on Charm School
- I loved it when Hulk Hogan’s family dressed him up in new clothes and put wigs on him in the “makeover” episode of Hogan Knows Best
- And there was the memorable tantrum our man Vanilla Ice threw before he left Surreal Life: Fame Game. That was a classic!
And these are just the most obvious ones. There were so many memorable moments in VH1 reality TV during 2007, it’s hard to narrow it to just a few.
What were your favorite moments? What was the most shocking for you? Leave a comment to share your thoughts!

Danny Bonaduce Won’t Be Charged
The incident between Danny Bonaduce and Jonny Fairplay at the Really Awards Show was investigated by the local district attorney’s office who determined that Fairplay was the one to start the physical confrontation. Bonaduce’s actions were well within the limits of self-protection. Here’s what the press release has to say about it:
LOS ANGELES - Danny Bonaduce won’t face charges for tossing former “Survivor” contestant Jonny Fairplay over his shoulders at an awards show.
A charge evaluation document released by the district attorney’s office Friday said there was “insufficient evidence” to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that Bonaduce committed battery because Fairplay “initiated contact and acted offensively.”
Fairplay, 33, said he underwent 2 1/2 hours of dental surgery after Bonaduce tossed him over his shoulders at the Fox Reality Channel’s Really Awards last Tuesday. Fairplay landed on his face.
Reality Villians Go Head to Head!
October 4, 2007 by Lynn
Apparently, things got a little out of hand at one point in the taping of the FOX Reality Really Awards Show on Oct. 2. Somehow, Danny Bonaduce ended up sending Survivor’s Jonny Fairplay to the hospital in an ambulance. Here are photos of the incident (follow the jump to see them in large sizes.)

Here’s what VH1 has to say about the fray:
You’d expect there to be drama at an awards show for reality TV stars, but it appears Danny Bonaduce took it to the next level last night. Are you surprised? According to TMZ, the Breaking Bonaduce star hopped on-stage at the FOX Reality Channel Really Awards, picked up notorious Survivor contestant Jonny Fairplay (who is having a baby with America’s Next Top Model reject Michelle, natch) and slammed the guy on his face, leaving him bloodied and toothless. Fairplay was hauled off to the hospital in an ambulance, while Bonaduce went on Adam Carolla’s radio show this morning to explain that he’s always been bugged by Fairplay (who lied on Survivor to win sympathy), so he had no problem stepping on-stage to inform Fairplay that the crowd was booing him. Fairplay jumped into Bonaduce’s arms and then the Bonaduce beatdown occured. Danny should probably save his “testimony” for a judge, seeing as he’s now the suspect in a “felony battery report.” Reality sure is sweet!
So do I have to tell you again to watch the FOX Reality Channel Really Awards on October 13 and then come back here afterwards for the recap?
VH1 Announces 7 New Reality Shows
June 25, 2007 by Lynn
Great news for reality TV fans! VH1 has announced the production of seven new reality series!! things just get better and bette, don’t they?
Here’s the descriptions of what they have in store for us, as documented in The Hollywood Reporter:
Among the slate of new series, all targeted to premiere in fourth-quarter 2007 or first-quarter 2008, are “The Salt-N-Pepa Show,” a 10-episode series following the female rap group as they attempt to reunite, and the tentatively titled “Danny Bonaduce’s Child Star,” an eight-episode series in which Bonaduce, a former child star who also starred on VH1’s “Breaking Bonaduce,” puts kids and parents through challenges to find the next big child star.
The improvised comedy “Free Radio” stars improv comedian Lance Krall (”The Joe Schmo Show”) as a dimwitted morning-show DJ who interviews celebrities. VH1 has ordered eight episodes.
Also on the slate are “America’s Most Smartest Model,” a 10-episode reality competition hosted by Ben Stein and fashion model Mary Alice Stephenson in which 14 models are put through challenges to win the title and a cash prize; “Old Skool With Terry and Gita,” a five-episode series starring Terry Moore, 77, an actress and ex-wife of Howard Hughes, and Gita Hall, 72, one of the world’s first supermodels, as they set out to discover “what’s hip and happening today”; and the eight-episode photography reality competition “Click!”
VH1 also has ordered seven episodes of the documentary series “Lords of the Revolution,” which profiles the “nonconformist heroes” of the 1960s and ’70s.
Brian Graden, president of entertainment at MTV Networks Music Group and president of MTV Networks’ cable channel Logo, said the series fall in line with VH1’s focus on music and pop culture programming.
