Ryan Jenkins Arrested for Domestic Violence Earlier this Year

As a former board member of a charity that helps victims of domestic violence, I can tell you that very rarely do people who abuse their partners ever really change the abusive behavior and it usually will escalate over time. That’s why this news is in no way surprising to me.

According to Clark County, Nevada, records:

Ryan Jenkins was arrested in late April and charged with committing “battery constituting domestic violence” against Jasmine Fiore. The complaint states Jenkins struck Fiore “in the arm with his fist.” He is due to return to court Dec. 18 for a non-jury trial.

The Orange County Register also reports that Jenkins had another incident where he was arrested for assault in Calgary, Canada.

Jenkins was sentenced to 15 months of probation in January 2007 on an unspecified assault charge, according to the Alberta, Canada Ministry of Justice, The Associated Press reported. No further details were available.

Ryan Jenkins is still missing, wanted for questioning in the case.
