Celebracadabra Finale Video Extras
The other night’s Celebracadabra was a great ending to one of my favorite VH1 reality series. C. Thomas Howell was a strong performer throughout the season, had a great rapport with all of his audiences, and I think he really did deserve to win. Many of the other contestants, including his finale competitor, Hal Sparks, though, did great jobs as well. In the end, Howell’s easy-going manner, and willingness to work with his coach –or coaches- earned his the win.
Check out these VH1 Extras from the finale. This first clip, showing Jonathan Leavit bloopers, is hysterical.
Of course, Steve Wyrick, and his Las Vegas theater, played a big part of the finale. This Artist’s Dream sequence is a great series of illusions. Plus –okay- it’s really very sweet. Watch it again and again, if you must. Maybe you’ll figure out how he did all that. It didn’t help me.
Hal Sparks and Rocco share their thoughts on the show and the finale. Hal is sure that he’s the most knowledgeable magician of all the contestants. I think he hit it on the head with Tommy’s more dramatic, theatrical show. Hal thinks it’s more appealing to the magicians who had to decide. I disagree, though, with his assertion that the audience doesn’t need that. I think the drama makes it more interesting to “civilians”, and not just to other magicians who’ve already seen a billion illusions. You decide. I also don’t think he just “made it easy” by having technical foul-ups. I think he had problems because he let his pride lead him into taking on too much.
Tommy is so excited about magic. He is really pumped about becoming a magician, and not just a slashy –Celebrity/Magician.
This street magic illusion is quite impressive. I must learn this one before the next work party, or whatever. How does Derek do this?
Tommy and Hal, ultimately, quite frankly… This is funny. I guess we all have expressions that we overuse.
Chris “Kid” Reid reflects on the competitors, and the remaining tension between Tommy and Hal
Derek works his street magic, impressing Austin and his family. Poor Austin will get over his low riffle self-esteem, though, someday.
Jeff McBride works his magic on Masks. For a second, I thought he was going to reveal a ten inch tongue.
Rocco seems to be picking up women with his chips.
Silly Billy shows how milk was meant to be tricked! These kids now “Got Milk”.
Jonathan Leavit works it, perhaps making up for his hilarious flubs. Hey! What was to make up for, though?
Would you like to see a second season of Celebracadabra? I would. Let’s hear your thoughts on this first run of the show. Who was your favorite celebrity?

I am surprised no one else has commented here? I know I wasn’t the only one watching this show! I’d love to see a second series! Thought the show was great, funny, informative, and very entertaining. I was sad to see it end in such a short six weeks. Bring it back!
