One would have to live under a rock somewhere to not know about Britney Spears’ mental issues of late. It’s gone from being gossip-worthy to being downright sad. Everyone in the known world has probably already heard of the fact that Britney’s mom had asked Dr. Phil to visit her in the hospital when she was there for evaluation. Then, when he made a public statement, Lynn Spears went ballistic on him. So, true to Dr. Phil’s way, he made the rounds of morning talk shows today to give his side of the story. I saw him on the Today show, and then a reader, Rowdy, sent me this video of Dr. Phil on Good Morning America.
Diane Sawyer sits down with Dr. Phil to address the Britney Spears ordeal, his relationship with the Spears family, exploiting the situation, what her real problem is, practicing without a license, his 1000th show, his relationship with Oprah, shooting down rumors, and lessons he learned.
