I Love New York: Interview With Buddha

by Lynn on January 4th, 2008

Buddha

A lot of people were surprised that New York chose Tailor Made and not Buddha. But in his interview, he says that the expected to lose. I’m not sure I understand why he continued on the show when he knew he wasn’t right for New York, but here’s what he had to say:

You didn’t seem too broken up about not winning New York’s heart.

Yeah I wasn’t. I expected to lose.

Oh really?

Yeah. When I got down to the Final Two, just judging by conversations going back and forth with New York, I expected to lose. It had gotten to the point that I had realized that the biggest factor is that she’s young. And another thing: it seemed like she was more attracted to the aspect of a rich man paying for her for everything and being basically a slave to her, than having a real man complement her. I don’t think she wanted someone that’s actually gonna bring her up and make her a better person. So I had already accepted I was gonna lose.

Was it disappointing to you at all?

It was disappointing when I realized that I couldn’t change the position that I would lose. That’s when I mourned, but you didn’t see that on TV.

(follow the jump for the rest)

But if she did choose you, do you think that your personalities were compatible enough to make it last?

It wouldn’t have lasted only because I would have spoken to her at elimination to tell her that I’m not the right one. No matter what, I knew I would not walk out the winner.

She accused you of trying to get into her head. Was that a conscious tactic of yours?

No. I’ve been in a relationship like that before where a woman can’t help herself with being so dramatic. Tiffany can’t help it. She loves drama. It wasn’t about getting into her head; it was about pleasing her. It was to give her a fixation that she wanted. I had to accept in my mind that drama is sex for her. I really am a pleaser by nature so I was giving her exactly what she wanted. I know that is what she wants. That is better to her than diamonds and pearls.

And you were willing to go forward and put up with that?

No. That’s why I said I’m the wrong one. Frankly, in the real world scenario, I would have left her a long time ago. I didn’t want to have to go back and forth and have to prove myself over and over again. I’m not for that. Because it’s her insecurity that’s the problem.

Buddha is 2 fine!!!I was once told the opposing mate for marriages and relationships are not chosen for love, but for either money and convenience. As with New York, she chose Tailor Made and Tango because they were convenient for her as she stated. Buddha also stated the fact that New York was not ready for a real man.

I am so glad that she did not pick you. For one even if you were there for TV so was she. Second, i am not a judgmental person but you are a very sexy man and have a lot of class as well. New York was not and is not your type. She has no respect for herself/others. But then again, SHE GETS IT FROM HER MAMA!!!!!!! I understood she was not a boring person, but there is alot of women out there that are not boring and that meet your expectations as well. For Example Me… LOL. I hope you find that special someone in your life that would complete you in and out. And feel like that having good looks is not only where is at. I like someone to pluck my brains, i like conversation. Enough with what i like. Again, good look with finding the right girl that fits u.

Ezra, I’m here to let you know that the better guy did win, because you are too much a gentleman to have to deal with such a disrespectful person. It goes to show that you were raised with morals and values and she was raised to be rude and unappreciative. I’d also like to point out that you and your father are very handsome men. May the right person come your way and keep you happy.
    Much Love and Respect,
    Ms. Michelle

    Hi Budda,

I think you are a very handsome, intelligent man and you deserve too have a Good Woman that compliments to you. I wish you the best in your endeavors but first and for most keep God 1st!

My 8yr daughter thinks its funny that I have your picture on my Desktop and was laughing, saying “you’ll never have him” I told her “Never say Never” as Jahim would put it!

SOO, it would be nice if you could send me an autographed picture so I can teach my child a lesson. Dinner would be the icing on the cake w/ a cherry on top!

    The 1st message should be:

I think you are a very handsome, intelligent man and you deserve too have a Good Woman that compliments you. I wish you the best in your endeavors but first and for most keep God 1st!

    Hey Buddha,
I liked how you were on the show and agree with alot of what you said. I like how you knew when to be a man and be sensitive and if you want a woman who wants a real man like you then get back at me. Holla!
