America’s Most Smartest Model: Andre Really is a Scary Guy
According to the New York Post, Andre, the abrasive, quick-tempered contestant on America’s Most Smartest Model has a serious rap sheet and shady past.
Andre Birleanu, 25, of Manhattan - who has earned a reputation as a volatile hothead on the cable channel’s “America’s Most Smartest Model” - was charged with sexual misconduct and aggravated harassment on Oct. 10.
Birleanu, has served a half-dozen prison stints since 2000 on charges including assault, harassment, criminal contempt, criminal mischief and trespassing, law-enforcement sources said.
“He touched my genitalia, and I immediately moved away,” she said. “Then I looked over, and he looked really upset . . . I went up to him. And he was standing there with his head down. He said something along the lines of ‘no.’ “He then grabbed my boob.”
Following his arraignment last night, Birleanu said, “I didn’t molest anyone . . . I already slept with that girl, so it’s strange she would say I touched her inappropriately.”
Birleanu has a disturbing rap sheet. At the time of his arrest early yesterday morning, he was free on $3,500 bail for yet another bizarre incident involving a woman. On Oct. 17, Birleanu was charged with stalking, aggravated harassment and attempted assault on a model friend.
Birleanu’s longest stint behind bars was a six-month stay in Rikers in 2003 for harassment, contempt and assault.
Birleanu’s temper has put other show contestants on edge, and the Russian native has become known for going on anti-American rants.

If Andre comes from a “tough” or “bad” or difficult background, then everyone should be supporting him to make better for himself - it’s not easy. I think aggressiveness and arrogance shows his difficult past and his determination to succeed, but I don’t think that defines him wholly. People get accused falsely and misunderstood all the time and some people use it to get back or get attention. You also have to realize that people who have not grown up in the United States do not have the understanding that those of use who grew up here have. Can he adapt and mature and become a little more refined in character? We have to give him opportunity to do that. All in all, he actually is a very handsome and sexy man and would be good for modeling and acting in movies if would enter that field. I say to Andre, “be smart and rise above everything to make your way to the best you can be and be successful and happy”.

Yes, Andre is pretty much a native New Yorker who did time at Rikers. All the Russian stuff was for tv only. His parents live TAX FREE in Manhattan near the U.N. So…Andre is basically just a priviledged ex-con with a nice body. He probably picked up the edge in prison. Way to go VH1! Next show should be called America’s Most Hottest Criminal.

VijAY??!!!!.. . it’s too bad that Reality TV is showing the world that people who can “play dirty” can be the winners in the world. ViJay was announced the “smartest model” because he is a good “sales pitch man”. Unfortunately, the show doesn’t explain to people that in the business world, yes, even in modeling and fashion, people prefer to work with persons that they like. I don’t think a company will be hiring ViJay to see if he can mess up the other models’ photoshoot in some way - the professional world is about “professionalism” and making the effort successful, and that means other people besides yourself, who are involved in any project, photoshoot, fashion show, etc.
ViJay is also an immature model with not enough intuitiveness to create great shots except mostly ” cheesecake” style poses.
Ultimately, Andre did become more likeable than ViJay. I think Andre will have a bigger modeling career than ViJay does, even without winning the reality show game.

What is going on? All sorts of people come on these blogs claiming to know Andre…one person said he was born in Romania and is 100% Romanian, now someone is claiming he was born in New York. Good lord people! Who cares!? Born in Russia, Raised in Romania, lives in NY. Stick with that. Ands besides, reality tv is meant to be misleading and entertaining. Anyhow, this man is hot so I say give him a new show. Besides, what celebrities dont have rap sheets these days? As for the new allegations, lets show the foreigners in america that we can live up to the notion “INNOCENT until proven guilty.”

ANDRE SHOULD HAVE WON. PERIOD.
Yes the guy was slightly aggressive and confrontational, but at least he was real. At least he showed his emotions and said what he thought. VJ seemed to delight in being under-handed and nasty. The face he put onto the judges was all sweet and innocent but behind the scenes, venom oozed out of him. Andre on the other hand wasn’t scared to be himself - he was a true warrior who stood and spoke up for what he believed.

I think this man is capable of murder. He should probably take some medication. True he is basically a modern greek god (or russian whatever he prefers) But he could do some serious damage and that is a price I wouldn’t be willing to pay. I hate to say this but ladies, have some dignity.
