Celebrity Fit Camp - There Are Seven Winners on This Show

by Lynn on May 11th, 2007

In this episode, the teams were brought to a marine stadium to do kayaking. The players would go head to head, one-on-one and each of the women would be given a head start. The winners would get a resort weekend in Hawaii.

Before the races, the teams got to practice paddling the kayaks.

Dustin continued to talk trash about Kimberley. (What is this guy’s problem? He’s such a jerk!)

First up, Maureen went up against Warren. She didn’t make it around the flag at the turn, so Warren won the heat. She was devastated.

Next was Tiffany against Ross. Tiffany had trouble at the turn too, so Ross won it easily.

cfc5_3_2.jpg

Then, Kimberley had to race against Dustin. (OMG!!) He openly passed gas right on the camera before the race started. (Will someone eliminate this guy?)

cfc5_3_4.jpg

And thank goodness, Kimberley beat his butt!! (Go, Kimberley!!) I’m so glad she beat him. He needs to see that his trash talk is just that, trash.

Next, Brat and Cledus had the final showdown. Brat beat him, forcing a tie-breaking race.

cfc5_3_3.jpg

So Maureen now had to face Warren again. It was completely close, but Warren beat her by a nose, giving the win to the men.

cfc5_3_5.jpg
cfc5_3_8.jpg

At the weigh-in, Ant told the teams that they had made it through the first month in the program. He told them that the last weigh-in had been record-breaking for the show. They had lost 85 lbs. as of the last weigh-in.

Then, Cledus did a really generous thing. He said that she had brought so much happiness to them all when they were kids and she had wanted to win so badly, that he gave her his trip. (What a totally cool thing to do!)

cfc5_3_9.jpg

So Maureen had to weigh-in first. Her goal for this week was to lose 4 lbs. She actually lost 7 more labs. They told her that she’d lost 12% of her starting body weight. (That’s fabulous!!)

cfc5_3_10.jpg

She’s in first place so far. Her total target weight loss was 25 lbs. and she had already lost 7 lbs. She decided to change her goal to lose 14 more lbs. Great job!! (I feel like I need to go work out…)

cfc5_3_11.jpg

Dr. Ian Smith said that they would put her journal on the web site so we could all see what she’s doing right. So here’s the link.

She told the panel that she felt bad about taking Cledus’ trip and that he should have it. Then she was told that she needed to lose 3 lbs. before the next weigh-in.

Ross was up next, and he found out that he was in second place so far by having lost 7% of his starting body weight. His goal for this weigh-in was 4 lbs. But he only lost 1 lb. this time. Dr. Smith explained that Ross has to eat his snacks so his body doesn’t go into starvation mode and stop losing weight.

cfc5_3_12.jpg

Ross was totally shocked that he was told to eat more. It seems to go against everything we think we know about weight loss. Ross confessed that he’s become scale-obsessed. He had been weighing himself on every scale possible. Stacy told him to get rid of his scale altogether.

Ross admitted that “Fat Ross” is really a lot of negative thinking and that he is trying to battle that because he wants to lose the weight. So Harvey gave him a motivating voice to replace the “Fat Ross” voice. He had a recording of Harvey on his iPod that motivated him through his workouts. (Where can I get one of those?) Ross said that he likes it when Harvey shows his “soft little underbelly” and says that he’s proud of Ross.

cfc5_3_13.jpg

Ross needs to lose 4 more lbs. before the next weigh-in.

cfc5_3_16.jpg

Cledus was up next. His goal for this weigh-in was 4 lbs. He lost 5 lbs. (Go, Cledus!) Stacy told him that his gift of the trip to Maureen was out of the goodness of his heart, but then she called him out for the other reason he had done it. He’s terrified of flying.

cfc5_3_17.jpg

He told of a terrifying experience he had when he had been in a plane that almost crashed and he had been thrown around the plane and injured. No wonder he’s afraid of flying! He got choked up when he told that his phobia keeps him from going home as often as he would like to see his daughter.

cfc5_3_19.jpg

Stacy told him that his fear came from a really horrible experience and he can tackle that at some other time. But then she told him that he should be proud of the wonderful things he’s accomplished so far. Harvey told him that he needs to lose 4 lbs. before the next weigh-in.

cfc5_3_20.jpg

Then, Ant called Dustin out about all the trash talk he had done on camera the last time when none of the others were around. He showed the others the tape. While the tape was rolling, the others were watching with serious looks on their faces, but Dustin was laughing. (That creep!) Then Ant told them that the stuff he showed wasn’t even the worst of it.

cfc5_3_21.jpg

Dustin said that he stood behind what he had said. Brat told him to stop bad-mouthing Kim and to stop talking trash off without them. She told him to talk to their faces.

cfc5_3_22.jpg

Kimberley at first said she wouldn’t even respond, then whiney Dustin started saying that he had been attacked when Brat said that she didn’t like him. (So what does he think all his bad talk is???)

cfc5_3_23.jpg

Cledus said that if he had to respond like people do where he’s from, he would just “whip his ass.” He said that serving time for whipping up on Dustin would be well worth it. Then he called out Dustin for having to sell t-shirts to pay for his mortgage. But then, he said that the way Dustin had acted the day before was great. It had been like a different Dustin.

cfc5_3_24.jpg

Then Kim finally started talking. She said that Dustin was a two-faced, back-stabbing person. Then she told him that he’s the real loser. He’s a child star with a porn tape and has to sell t-shirts to pay for his house. (It’s all true!)

cfc5_3_25.jpg

Ant told him to go weigh-in. His goal for this weigh-in was to lose 5 lbs. He didn’t lose a thing. He said that he didn’t believe it. Dr. Ian told him that if he wouldn’t do the things he was told, that he wasn’t worth their wasting their time with him.

cfc5_3_26.jpg

They told him that they had a tape of him in New Hampshire and he was eating and drinking all kinds of bad things like beer and fried calamari and bragging about it to a reporter. Dr. Ian told him that he could now say that he wanted to be a part of Fit Club instead of being against Fit Club.

cfc5_3_28.jpg

Dustin said that he had no regrets and that he was disgusted with how the evening had gone. Harvey told him that he had brought it all on himself and he said that he would be the “bigger man” and step out of the show. (WTF!!??)

He took off his microphone and walked out of the room. (Drama…so much drama.)

cfc5_3_29.jpg

Most of the Fit Clubbers said they were glad he was gone. (Me too!) Ant encouraged Warren and Ross to go try to get him to stay. (Let him go!!)

He continued to trash talk to them too. Ant told him to try it their way once, because they really did have his best interest at heart. (I say, let him go. Good riddance to rubbish!)

cfc5_3_32.jpg

He told them that he had no way home, so he would sit there for the rest of it, then he was done. (Yeah, right. It’s all to get attention, like a two-year-old…)

Then, Kimberley weighed in and lost 2 lbs. Harvey told her that her target weight loss for the next weigh-in was 5 lbs.

cfc5_3_35.jpg

Warren only lost 3 lbs.

cfc5_3_36.jpg

Harvey gave him some grief for “that 50-year-old woman” that almost kicked his ass the previous day. (Go, Maureen!)

Tiffany had only lost one lb.

cfc5_3_37.jpg

Brat lost nothing too. She said that she has a hard time staying with the program.

cfc5_3_38.jpg

Dr. Ian said that it’s not just about losing weight, it’s a lifestyle change. Harvey gave her a goal of 6 lbs. to lose before the next weigh-in.

Then the teams went out to get on the giant scales.

The women lost a combined weight of 10 lbs.

cfc5_3_39.jpg

The men only lost 9 lbs.

cfc5_3_40.jpg

The women are ahead by losing 7.23% so far.

cfc5_3_41.jpg

The guys need to catch up because they’ve only lost 6.58% so far.

cfc5_3_42.jpg

I don’t know about you, but I wish that they hadn’t cast Dustin. I know they wanted to add some drama to the show. But this guy is a total mess. He didn’t want to do the program at all. And he’s such a jerk. No one will root for him.

As for the other seven Fit Clubbers, they’re terrific! They all root for each other and are trying very hard to overcome their own personal obstacles. They are inspiring for the rest of us. I really want them all to be successful.

What about you? What are your thoughts about the whole Dustin thing? Does he help or hinder the show for you?

How do you feel about the others? Is the show inspiring for you too? Leave a comment to share your thoughts!
