Flavor of Love - The Finale
It’s come and gone and we all know the outcome…
Flav made his decision and for a moment, I became a little sentimental about the biggest train wreck in reality television coming to an end.
But what’s done is done and Flav chose Hoopz.
A collective sigh could be heard around the nation. And New York actually handled the news with far more grace than I certainly expected. At least to his face. The limo ride of shame was, in the spirit of The Bachelor, a mess like every other limo ride before it.
Best of luck to the newest couple of reality TV. May Flav and Hoopz live happily ever after.

I am so happy that you have choosen the right person for you. You believed in Hoppz and so did your mother. I just want to thank you for being so honest and real about yours.

I was so excited that you choose Hoopz shes a very attractive young lady and will soon make you a nice wife. I love that fact that she didnt sleep with you on the show. It appeared that whenever you slept with one of the young ladies on the show, that they would in up getting dumpped. Im very surprise they didnt see the pattern. I guess all that waiting on Hoopz, and knowing that you had all azz in your house, you had to do something. That was a great stradegy.

Congradulations to Hoopz…
She is very down to earth, and good for Flav in a practical way. However, anyone who has watched the show faithfully can admit that the girl is a bit one dimensional. If Flav just wants a new girlfriend from this show, then his choice should hold up for about a month or so, but any hope for a follow up show that’s even mildly entertaining with Hoopz by his side is pretty much shot-

these reality shows are on tv to make MONEY!! if you will notice that hardly any of these couples that meet on these shows like the bachelor, bachelorette ect. even stay together. the peolpe that come on there get exposure and it is like watching soap opera. the tv stations make money and flava flav need the money so he was down. None of this crap is 100 percent real.

Congrats to Flav & Hoopz. It is a shame that so many people have found the energy to say nasty things about Hoopz instaed of just showing Flav love for the decision he made. Yes when it comes to looks…BAR NONE Hoopz does have it.
During the whole show she did not act immature. NY on the other hand showed me she had true gamesmanship. She did things and said things that made the other woman lose their cool but Hoopz held tight.
The interaction between her and Flav was all their own. Keep in mind we saw it on TV and it was edited for time so who are we to judge the deepness of their time.
NY did seem to be over-possesive and couldn’t hold it together when he did spend time with other woman. That to me was truly a sign that she would not be able to handle the lifestyle.
If Hoopz is gay…may Flav get the threesome of his life. Whether she is gay or not doesn’t matter I am just happy for both of them and wish them nothing but happiness.

New York brought real drama to the show…a character like Flav needs a strong black women like New York. Damn she made me stay glued to the TV show to see what in the hell she was gonna do next. How can you forget the catfight with pumpkin…the spit wad launcher. New York is a proven lady that could take it and give.
Good show Mr. Flav…I would have loved to be you just for one episode especially when you were holding Hoopz! However, for a long term relationship New York would have been my choice.

New York represents the ugliest side of humanity. She is completely classless and lacks any level of decency. Plus, she is psychotic! She is like the chain smoking ghetto version of Amorosa from The Surreal Life. If anything, she serves as the worst characterization of a “strong black woman.” There is nothing redeeming about her. I have to admit. . .I was disappointed when N.Y. lost. I think she has made some bad choices in terms of her behavior, but I think her feelings were the most genuine out of all the girls. I also think she was beautiful. She jsut needs a little make-over such as different color make-up. Hoopz seemed withdrawn at the finale when Flav attacked her with a kiss at the end. Their final kiss on the show seemed forced and insincere on Hoopz’ part. She is pretty and has an awesome personality, but N.Y. defniately better suited him.

Hoopz is one girl that know’s what she wants and doing what she need to do in order to reach her goal. How many times do women take the back sit to her man so he can reach his goal? Sometimes a sister would even work double jobs just to help her man become whatever it is he want to be. So tell me, what’s wrong with Flav stepping back and letting Hoopz reach her goals? She never said she didn’t want anything to do with him and that came out of his mouth not mine. He feels since the show ended ever agent and promoter is coming after her which limits his time with her. This was promise to the female’s anyway, that this would help inhance their career anyway, so whay all the drama about Hoopz going for her’s. All ladies that were on the show was tring to inhance their careers, as well as starting a relationship with Flav. Flav also did the show for the same reasons. So what’s wrong with Hoopz doing her thing, she is only in her early 20’s, have much life in head of her before she decides to through in the towel, and she deserve everything she has going for her. To keep things real, if I had a chance to inhance my life as well as my family’s life I would jump right on it, having agent’s from all parts of the world believing in me that I can be a star, being able to show my child that if you believe in yourself and reach for what you want in life you to can have it, and for once not worring about next month, next week, or the next day I would be doing the same thing. There’s nothing like having your dreams come true and making money also.

Though I’ve only seen a few shows my take on Hoopz is (long 2-parter):
She’s crazysexycool. I think she was the one, the triple threat. Even Flav thought so as well (he picked her & NY from the jump). She is hella fine. Laid back, cool, down for whatever, active, athletic. That’s what you want in a broad. She was the main competition in the group – why do you think NY & Brigette where going after her like they were – she’s the total package. Again, only seeing her a few times from the show, I was saying to myself she could model, and that this could open doors for her if she chose that path. It was only yesterday that I found out she was posing and the like – yes, I live in a cave.
On being a ho:
I know a lot of you are going to not like this, but dig, if Hoopz is a ho, she’s no bigger ho than Flav. When you’re looking for a new, REAL love, the LAST place you look is reality TV. He’s ho-ing himself out to VH1 – what’s the difference? Remember, Flav is trying to keep his career going as well. He’s riding the wave starting from Surreal Life, the show about actors/actresses at the end of their career or has-beens. Two, if Hoopz is a ho, why did she state if the show was just for Flav to kcuf 20 girls, then she was out? Third, is she a ho just because she wanted to continue her career path and not stay home and forget about her dreams? Fourth, maybe Flav should’ve gotten with her moms, they should be the same age.

Conflicted on this. With her looks, killer smile, coolness, take-no-shit-from-anyone, there was no way the media was just going to let her fade into the sunset. NO WAY you hurd!! Plus, no matter who won, they were going to be making the rounds on the media circuit, for the good (NY’s site) and bad (Pumpkin Pie getting fired from substitute teaching). Two, she seems to be the go-getter, ambitious type, isn’t that what you want? I know I do! I mean, most good, wanting something out of life, giving a damn 20- to 30-somethings are either trying to get their career going , are in full swing in their career, fulfilling their goals and dreams. I don’t think you’ll find many that are going to drop everything for their man/woman. And with Hoopz/Nikki being a model /aspiring actress she only has a few years left – she’s 23/24, the max to make it is like 28/30.
In any event, whether he knew about Hoopz or not, Flav should’ve understood what he wanted in a broad and explained that to all of them. Also, he should’ve remembered what he was doing at 23, trying to get himself established in the game; did he sacrifice his ambitions for a broad? If he wanted the stay at home-wait for him type, he should’ve picked the separatee/soon to be divorcee or perhaps Goldie. The rest were there for a purpose, either to mooch, spend his money, get fame and fortune, to be seen. Personally, I would’ve stayed with Hoopz – he could have still had a reality show, kept it going.
But on the flip, if Hoopz truly was there to only advice her career, then that’s straight up & down like 6 o’clock foul!! And I would have to agree with the majority. Using a kat or kitten to get ahead is wrong and it comes back on you hella hard. On my way up the corporate ladder, I’m trying to make as many true friends and connects as possibly. The true ones you help are really the true ones that help you make it to the top AND stay there. And with that on to part two…

None of them truly loved Flav. From just the few episodes I saw, they threw the word around like a bra at a strip club. From Flav to NY, Hoopz to Pumpkin, Goldie to Latin; everybody was saying they loved Flav. On the real, they loved him as a friend, not a lover. And Flav truly didn’t love them either.
Is Hoopz truly foul?
Conflicted again. Again, before reading many blogs about her and seeing the pics, I didn’t realize she was a model and was thinking, “damn, show are a lot of people drinking hater-ade today”. But after reading multiple blogs and seeing the pics found myself like “damn, maybe she was there like the rest to advance her career.”
But on the same flip, I was thinking for myself , if this all came after the fact would I still be with her? I think if the situation was one like if we were talking and he asked her about goals/ambitions & she was thinking about this before the show, maybe even done a couple of spreads I’d have to make a judgement call. I think Hoopz would’ve been straight up. By it being a show, personally I wouldn’t have expected anything less. But non-show, I might have told her “kick rocks beeotch!”. I guess it depends how she came at me with it.
In any event, I don’t want someone to sit at home and wait until I get there. I’m ambitious, have goals & dreams that I’ve accomplished and others I want to accomplish; so I don’t want someone laying under my arm-pit slowing me down. And if I was Flav and in that game, or even as myself being in the corporate game and I met Hoopz on the street, I would help Hoopz accomplish her goals if we were really down for each other and she came at me right. I think Hoopz and I would still be together.

Don’t understand Flav wanting kids / wanting someone half his age. I mean, with Hoopz & NY, they’re both 23, his oldest daughter is 20. What, his new wife going to hang with his daughter? “Where you going? Oh, me & step-momma goin’ clubin’”. What kind of shit is that? She ain’t keeping you young Flav, she’s killin’ you duke!! I mean, if he & Hoopz were still together and they had kids, by the time their ready to leave home he’d be ready to go to one - Get real duke!!

Hoopz was the prettiest gurl on the first season and beauty can sometimes cloud a mans judgement. But Flav if you don’t pick bucky on season two send her to me. I think you should pick Buckwild or like that on this season they seem like the two who really genuinely like you women can be so fake that sometimes the fool themselves pick someone who will be there with you for a while not a trophy.
