The Hulk Has a Heart
Rich Cronin, as a member of boy-band LFO had a big hit in “Summer Girls,” with such thought proviking lyrics as:
I like Kevin Bacon but I hate Footloose
Came in the door said it before
I think I’m over you but I’m really not sure
When I met you I said my name was Rich
You look like a girl from Abercrombie and Fitch
He was diagnosed with leukemia in March of 2005 and is now in remission and working on a solo album.
What’s all this got to do with Hogan Knows Best? Apparently, Cronin thanks the Hulk for being one of many who supported him in his chemo treatments and recovery. Cronin spent some time in the studio producing music for daughter Brooke Hogan.
Cronin was surprised at how celebs like Hulk reached out to him during his time of need, saying:
When you’re in the music business, you tend to see a really bad side to people, but this experience has really shown me the good, so it’s been very eye-opening. I really hadn’t been doing anything since 2002, and then all of a sudden people were reaching out. It’s amazing how powerful it’s been.
We’ve seen lots of different side to Hulk Hogan through the Hogan Knows Best series, and it’s nice to hear about hwo the guy has a heart beneath that tough exterior.
