Bono says no-no to drugs

Chastity Bono, Sonny & Cher’s daughter and participant on the next season of VH1’s Celebrity Fit Club, spoke out on her reason for joining the cast:

I had a drug problem for a long time. I’ve been in recovery for about 18 months now, so this last 18 months, I really spent on that and my mental and emotional health. I was just starting to go the gym and deal with the physical stuff when ‘Celebrity Fit Club’ called.

So it looks like Bono’s weight might be the last key in a triad of self-help issues she’s been dealing with. Having the will to get and stay sober after her addiction seems like it will make her a formidable contender on Celebrity Fit Club. This looks like it will be a great season.
