VH1 Reality World

Loves tates like chicken

by Michelle on December 16th, 2005

Heck, I’m tired of writing about new shows coming out, here and at the MTV blog. But… it’s near end of the season, no new episodes coming up what with the holidays and all. Celeb-reality addicts just have to wait. And watch reruns.

However…

Flava Flav Will End My TV Dry Spell January 1

The first, that I’ve noted, of the reality shows to begin airing new episodes for the new year, is Flava Flav’s spakin’ new show (after his debut on Surreal Life, followed by he and Brigitte Neilsen’s romantic Strange Love) Flavor of Love.

VH1’s press release says the show will feature, “20 single women from all walks of life, selected for their expressed love for Flav, will move into a “phat crib” in Los Angeles and vie for his affection.”

These girls I just HAVE to see.

[…] I don’t think so!! Well, ok, sort-of, LOL. The show is like a car wreck to me - I want to stop looking, but just can’t help it! But I don’t think it’s worthy of a top 5 in the cringe-inducing list! What about any of the VH1 shows - I love them too, but really, seeing Flava Flav compete for the love of 20 women, Bachelor style? That’s just gross! Today I watched Flava Flav on VHS–it was the show where first the girls “design” hot tubs, then get to go roller skating the next day. I have to say as a “mid-westerner” I find it very sad that Flava Flav doesn’t realize the good points HE has, besides his fame and fortune. I’ve been married 16 years, and with my husband 22 years in total. To see this man talk to these upset women and calm them down really made me have some respect for him. He does seem to like to have his fun(dressing up,etc), but he also seems to have a very caring and sentimental side, too. It’s unfortunate that all these girls seem interested in is his money. I hope that by spending time with him, they’ll figure out it takes so much more than money to make a lasting relationship work. Then he and whoever he picks may end up happy!
